Take Action!
Who can join State of Youth?
A Chapter is a collective group of young people who can choose to engage in one or more areas: Action, Advocacy and Awareness. Our members are the driving force of the movement! A the end of 2024, we have more than 355 Chapters in 65 countries.
Each Chapter organises at least one activity per year. The Chapters will have at least one Chapter Leader, who will be the main point of contact with State of Youth staff in Amsterdam. Chapters can be organised in a way that best suits their members, whether with Vice-Presidents, Mobilisation coordinators, or a very horizontal structure. We also hold a membership survey twice a year. Next to that, we organise Chapter Leader meetings for inspiration. We expect you, as Chapter Leader, to attend a minimum of three Chapter Leader meetings throughout the year.

How does it work?
How to organize activities
Chapter Leaders
As a Chapter Leader you will organize activities to give a voice to youth on the most important issues of our time: the Sustainable Development Goals, through a Children's Rights perspective. Examples of activities could be to organize fundraisers, host workshops or lectures, and establish relationships with local service partners such as other non-profits and local media to raise awareness as well. As a Chapter Leader you are the lead for your local chapter. You are the point of contact for State of Youth, and responsible for the activities and commitment of your chapter.
